Description
A beautiful and dramatic morning along the Icefields Parkway in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. I came across this scene as the clouds dispersed allowing the peaks to be lit by the morning sun. The evergreens in the foreground worked well as a sense of scale and contrast to this stunning mountain landscape just outside of Banff National Park. This piece was given a painterly feel in post processing and displayed as a vivid oil painting.
